Ashton VSG Eclipse Sun Grown Toro Single

I am dissappointed with The VSG box. Very expensive and yet half of the cigars were dry and cracked when I was smoking them. Don't understand the inconsistency of dry smokes mixed in box.

Very expensive and yet half of the cigars were dry and cracked when I was smoking them. So DRYYYYYYYY have keep in my Humidor for couple days. The inconsistency of dry smokes mixed in box.

I am an experieced cigar smoker and have very much enjoyed Ashton VSG and ESG cigars in the past. This was my first box of the VSG Eclipse Tubo. Out of a full box I was able to find only a few that could be tolerated. The cigars were dry, cracked, and not at all satisfying. I called Thompson customer service and was advised that the Eclipse cigars sometimes dried out in the tubes and that I should "rehabilitate" them by removing them from the tubes and putting them in a good humidor for a period of time. This did not work because these cigars were beyond salvation. These cigars had either been stored improperly or just not very good from the outset.
